This page is dedicated to the stories of individuals and families that Ownership Options has helped over the years. Since forming over a decade ago, Ownership Options has given advice to hundreds of families across Scotland.

Each individual and family highlighted in this section faced a housing problem that needed a creative solution. These personal accounts show that with the correct housing advice and assistance, Ownership Options was able to find person centred housing solutions for each of them.

This section is not intended to be an information guide about the owner occupied sector and disabled people. The personal accounts are intended to offer insights to disabled people, professionals, families and supporters engaged in the process of finding suitable housing and to enable and inspire creative solutions to housing difficulties.

In the box on the top right of this screen, you will find a film about the work of Ownership Options. This film focuses on the fact that disabled people face many challenges and barriers, but the right home in the right location can enable people to participate equally in community life knowing that their housing needs have been fully met..  (a copy of this film is available on request in DVD format)
